Fire Alarm

The Multicom fire alarm communicator connects any Contact-ID dialer equipped alarm panel and most fire alarms to a central monitoring centre via multiple highly secure IP paths.

Patented Alarm Delivery

The Multicom Network is overlaid with a patented alarm delivery protocol that is available exclusively to Surecall One3 and SG4 users. It is fully automated and redirects alarm transmissions via the SDC Exchange when the monitoring centre experiences an outage or receiver failure.

Your phone lines and alarm receivers can be down and you can still be receiving alarm transmissions.

The Multicom Network offers full traffic switching which requires no manual intervention; it utilises and expands upon the capabilities of the IN (Intelligent Network) Platform. Any standard Telco IN platform enables your alarm dialler transmissions to divert on busy or no answer to an alternate number but with our network your alarm dialler transmissions can also be switched automatically when you lose your PSTN lines or if your alarm receivers fail.

SAMS Monitoring Centre 

On Wednesday 28th September the state of South Australia was plunged into darkness as a massive storm shut down critical infrastructure.

During the devastation one SA control room was able to save and deliver over 45,000 alarm events and in excess of 100,000 alarm events over the entire 3-day storm.

SAMS’ proven disaster recovery strategy is the Suretek Network which ensures alarm events are received at the SAMS control room during outages (or congestion) to critical infrastructure such as telecommunications services and alarm receivers.  The Suretek Network also assisted SAMS through managing the sudden surge in alarm events during the SA storms, through load balancing the events across multiple links.

Energize Australia Monitoring Centre 

A Telstra-owned cable was accidentally severed leaving local businesses in the suburb of Vermont VIC, stranded without phone and Internet services.

Shane Ruawai, Director of Energize Australia was also impacted by the outage, "A major cable in our area had been dug up which immediately cut off all the PSTN lines going into our monitoring station."

Like many monitoring centres, Energize Australia had GSM redundancy in place but it failed to deliver all the alarm communications during the outage.

"We have GSM redundancy but that redundancy was not working as it should have, which can easily add up to thousands of customers potentially at risk", said Ruawai.

Energize Australia reached out to Suretek for help, "Within one day we received an SG router and our redundancy issues were immediately resolved. Suretek did a fantastic job and were the only one that could help us in our time of need."

The new disaster recovery strategy implemented by Energize Australia is the Suretek Network network, which ensured alarm events are received at the Energize Australia monitoring centre during outages and congestion to critical infrastructure such as telecommunications services and alarm receivers.
