How it works

Intelipath is a service only available to Surecall One3 users and is an additional service that utilises functions of the Telstra IN Platform (Intelligent Network) but goes way beyond the capabilities of any Telco.  Any standard Telco intelligent network enables your alarm dialler traffic terminating receiver numbers to divert on busy or no answer to alternate numbers that may be connected to other receiver line cards or other receivers.   However, what happens when you lose your PSTN lines or worse still your alarm receiver(s) fail?  When this happens it's game over and your business and your clients are at risk.  That is unless you have Intelipath.  When you have loss of communications, Receivers fail or even congestion from unexpected high traffic such as major blackouts Intelipath automatically and transparently keeps you operational.

If you think control room GSM Backup devices solve your problem, think again... History shows and it's a fact, that digital diallers designed to work over copper do not all communicate over GSM backup solutions.  Infact only around 80% of diallers will report correctly over control room GSM backup devices and if you lose a receiver then this is a 100% communication failure.  That's why we invented Intelipath.

I think you will find that Intelipath is one of the ground breaking solutions that we see every now and again in our industry.  When it comes to control room technology I have always thought of creating  real solutions from the control room and end user point of view.  Coming from a control room background this is something I find easy to do and appreciate what every control room owner goes through just to provide and maintain their business operation in particular when it comes to redundancy.  Five years ago our GSM back up solution was the first step in this redundancy process and it too was ground breaking at that time with automatic and transparent traffic switching unlike other systems that required some sort of intervention.  However, alarm panels utilising digital diallers were designed to operate over copper and not all alarm panels will work successfully over control room GSM PSTN redundancy networks.  Infact history shows that only 80% of alarm panels will function correctly over GSM redundant paths. 

The other problem of course is receiver failure.  PSTN failure equates for only 5% of control room outages.  The larger problem is receiver failure and again history over the last five years shows that receiver failure is much higher representing around 30% of control room problems.   When designing Intelipath, I wanted to create a solution to solve this and provide a complete instant and transparent communication redundancy solution, in addition removing the cost burden every control room has to incur when inplementing redundancy.  

Despite the fact we have invested almost $250,000 in reasearch and development on Intelipath, plus the ongoing operational cost, I wanted to provide this product and solution to our loyal Surecall One3 customers at a "Zero" cost.  I am glad to say that with Intelipath we have now done that.
